The future furniture fair brought together existing, emerging and speculative initiatives and presented them as future companies imagined by Droog Lab and TD. This Material Matters Media imaginary news broadcast raises current issues related to material scarcity and featuring innovative responses by imaginary future companies. Material Matters Media was first presented during the Salone del Mobile in Milan in 2013. Material Matters aims to stimulate designers to develop business models urged by material scarcity, and to broaden discussions on the future of our material culture.
